everybody needs friends..

She was wearing a black button-up shirt and her grandiose brown winter parka was tied around her waist.  Her short sticky hair, a muted brown, hung like tassels on a lamp shade from her 7 foot high stature. She was awkward and her voice sounded like screeching tiers. She walked with no purpose or sense of direction as she invited herself to sit with a couple eating at a table. Then she smiled revealing her golden teeth aligned perfectly with the landscape of a jagged mountain ridge. She quietly introduced herself as Maryanne as she stretched forth her elongated arm- her hand in an inviting position offered a 5min friendship to the two complete strangers. she ate her lunch as she intently asked them about their days....their hobbies...and their lives. Soon after the awkwardness of the whole situation was unbearable she gathered her things and said adéu (literally said the german goodbye)  to her new friends. As she walked away she pulled her baggy cargo jeans up to her chest revealing her very faded pink socks neatly folded over twice so the the lace that trimmed the top could be seen. she was awkward and her walk looked like a pirate ......but she was brave and her kind attitude fell off her countenance like glitter.

True Love...

Im sitting by this guy in the cafeteria and he is letting loose on this guy about his personal love story. These two must be real close because  he is sharing some personal stuff. The kid he is talking to must be thinking about getting married because he asks questions in a way makes me think he is getting serious with a girl. The guy's name is Ben (I don't know him but I have gathered that he is Ben)

Ben's description of his wife was so touching! He said, " heck, my wife has steal rods in her back that makes it impossible to have kids, she is in a wheel chair, has weight problems, is loosing her hair from lack of nutrition, might go blind from diabetes, needs plastic surgery of some kind, and has sever mental problems......... but I still love her." Wow.... then he when on to say that this was all before they were even married and his biggest stress when he married her was figuring out a way to pay for all her medication.

Like I said I don't know this guy,  Ben, and I doubt I ever will but I think he is "the Man" and I'm really glad I sat by him today.

true love.....
